Candidates that will face off in the April election will be decided during primary elections being held on Tuesday, February 20th. In Sheboygan County, several townships along with the Village of Howards Grove and the City of Sheboygan have a limited number of contests to be narrowed down.
In Sheboygan, three candidates are running for Alderperson District-2; Roberta Filicky-Peneski, Markus Savaglio and John Belanger. Voters in both Wards 3 and 4 will send the top two vote-getters on to the April Spring Election. Voters in Wards 15 and 16 will select from Denny Runge, Jesse Roethel and Zachary Rust, eliminating one candidate for the District-8 Aldermanic post in April’s contest.
Township of Herman, Mosel, Rhine and Sheboygan Falls, along with Village of Howards Grove voters will narrow down a 6-person field to four, who will then face off in April for two Howards Grove School District Board seats . Tuesday’s contest allows voters to cast a pair of preferences from a field of candidates comprised of Debbie Knoener, Nicole Schumacher, Brandon L. Suemnicht, Courtney Athorp, Dave Loomis anbd Janina H. Siemers.
The polls in all cases will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
