A Plymouth man is facing drunk driving charges after causing a crash and fleeing the scene in Elm Grove last month. 39 year old Joseph Timrek was charged following the January 14th crash in which the vehicle he was driving struck another that had lost control on slippery roads.
Elm Grove police say that after the accident, Timrek left the scene along with a passenger, and was later found by officers at a Brookfield gas station displaying slurred speech and obvious intoxication. A phone call monitored by the police revealed that he’d fled because he knew he’d fail a sobriety test, which he refused.
Timrek had already been convicted of drunk driving 3 times, failed to show up for his initial court appearance this week, and there’s now a warrant out for his arrest.
