Emmy F. Jeletz , 88, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Sharon Richardson Community Hospice.
Born September 1, 1935, in Lithuania, Emmy was a daughter of the late Gustuv and Emile Henning Baltschun. On September 23, 1960 she was united in marriage to Walter E. Jeletz in Dusseldorf, Germany. Walter preceded her in death on October 27, 1980, after many years of declining health due to Multiple Sclerosis.
Emmy was a brave, compassionate, loving caregiver and homemaker to her husband for many years at home and during his final years at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center. She continued caring for others as she worked for the Visiting Nurses Association and later delivered Meals on Wheels. Emmy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for over 50 years. Making creative and delicious tortes was a labor of love for her and a treat for those receiving them on special occasions such as birthdays or weddings. Emmy had a dear companion in Glenn Baartz with whom she enjoyed traveling, time in casinos, and wintering in Arizona. A special joy in her life was spending time with her two grandchildren, Kelsey and Jonathan, throughout their lives from babies to the young adults they are now.
She is survived by her son, Ralph (Pam) Jeletz of Cedarburg, granddaughter Kelsey Jeletz of Detroit, grandson Jonathan Jeletz of Cedarburg, one brother, Edmund (Herta) Baltschun of Dusseldorf, Germany, and one dear sister-in-law, Eugenia (Janie) Hagemeier of Sheboygan. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews both locally and throughout Germany.
