Wisconsin has never recorded a tornado during the month of February…so far. However, the National Weather Service is advising that this could change as a confluence of weather systems combine to present some “interesting” possibilities this time around.
Forecasters were expressing increasing confidence for the occurrence of scattered strong-to-severe storms this Thursday afternoon and evening, with the main threats those of large hail and isolated tornadoes, with an accompanying low threat of winds as high as 60 miles per hour. The greatest threat exists between 3 and 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Any storms that do occur would quickly move from southwest to northeast across southern Wisconsin. In the case of Sheboygan County, later hours would be more likely to see those storms.
