Equipment valued at some $161,000 was taken over the past weekend from a Village of Belgium business. An employee of Nate’s Lawn Maintenance arrived at work shortly before 8 a.m. Monday to find someone had cut a lock and fence to get into a secure parking lot. A 2022 Ford F350 white flatbed pickup truck and a gooseneck-style trailer with a 2023 Caterpillar Compact Track Loader on it were driven from the business. Several other items were also taken with others moved and damaged, and it’s believed that some of the stolen goods may already have been moved out-of-state.
