Kim Y. Pizer, 69, of Sheboygan passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 5, 2024. Kim
was born on July 24, 1954 in Seoul, South Korea.
After she graduated from Ewha University as an English major, she ventured to the United
States at age 23 for further education at SUNY Buffalo. She went on to obtain an MBA in
accounting from the University of Wisconsin, where she met her husband, Dr. Steven Pizer.
She spent most of her adult life in Kohler, and was a devoted mother to her son, Michael, as
well as a very busy homemaker. She had high standards and always motivated those she
loved to be their best. She was a natural athlete in many sports, and was a passionate and
talented golfer. She also enjoyed cooking and baking, especially to share with others. She was
always willing to share her pearls of wisdom to try to help anyone who may have needed it. Her
intensity, bright intellect, charm, and boundless energy never ceased to amaze.
Kim is survived by her husband, Steven Pizer; son, Michael (Katie) Pizer; grandson and
granddaughter, Ethan and Madeleine Pizer; mother, Yong Do Choi; sisters, Grace, Young Aye,
and Young Ok Kim; and brother, Young Chul Kim. She is further survived by many other
nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Chi Ho
Kim.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Ballhorn Chapels
Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th St., Sheboygan. Relatives and friends may visit
with the family at 10:00 am until the time of service at the Funeral Home. Private family burial
will be on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 9:00 am at the Woodland Cemetery in Kohler.
