David C. Schultz, 88, of the Town of Lyndon passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Songbird Pond in
Plymouth.
David was born on October 15, 1935 in the Town of Lyndon a son to the late William and Amanda
(Nauman) Schultz and grew up on the family farm near Waldo. His school days included Roosevelt
School in the Town of Lyndon, Waldo Grade School and Plymouth High School. Following his school
years he enlisted in the Army National Guard. He served. as a communications man and received
numerous awards for marksmanship. He was honorably discharged in 1960. On April 29, 1961 he was
united in marriage to Annette Reichardt at Zion Lutheran Church in Louis Corners. She preceded him in
death on March 24, 2006 David worked for the Kohler Company and Tecumseh Products in New New
Holstein before deciding to farm full time. He enjoyed animals of all types, especially the baby ones and
had a fondness for horses. Dairy farming was where he made his career.
David enjoyed the Sheboygan County Fair, especially the horse shows. His hobbies included hunting
deer and turkeys but best of all anything that included his hounds. He would never pass up a good
hunting discussion. He also enjoyed the Carl Laack Band. But above all his top priority was his wife and
children. With a large family David lived a full and fulfilling life. A long time but time flew by so fast it
seemed like just yesterday he was getting married and starting a family. He enjoyed life.
David was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cascade where he was baptized and
confirmed.
David is survived by his eight children, Steven (Carolyn) Schultz of Plymouth, Robert (Nola) Schultz of
Waldo, Sandra (Jim) Tenpas of Elkhart Lake, Mark (Sheila) Schultz of Plymouth, Susan Simonich of
Plymouth, Karen (David) Sinner of Kiel, Paul (Tamara) Schultz of the Town of Wilson, and Daniel (Jodi)
Schultz of Plymouth; 22 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; his brother William Schultz of Waldo and
a sister Marion Hefter of Cascade. He is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and
friends. Along with his wife and parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Marlin and Byron
and his sisters, Evelyn, Althea and Grace.
A funeral service for David will be held 1 PM, Wednesday, February 7 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in
Cascade with Rev. Richard Bidinger, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Family
and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday at the church, 509 Milwaukee Ave., Cascade from
11 am until the time of service at 1 pm.

the patience and compassion shown to David in his last months.
