Jerome “Jerry” K. Timm, age 81, of Sheboygan, died on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. He was born in Sheboygan on October 18, 1942, the son of the late Kenneth and Wilma Kuitert Timm.
Jerry attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1960. On November 9, 1963, Jerry was united in marriage to Sharon D. Schlegel. Sharon preceded him in death on July 9, 2017.
Jerry was a City of Sheboygan Fire Fighter, retiring after 31 years of service. He was a current member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Sheboygan.
Survivors include his children, Steve (Helen) Timm, Jeff (Cyndi) Timm, all of Sheboygan; grandchildren, Matt (Kali) Thiel, Megan Timm, Nicole (Tayler) Klabechek, and Dylan Timm; great grandchildren, Hannah and Caleb Thiel; his two brothers, Roger (Bonnie) Timm, of Oconomowoc, Brent (Peggy) Timm, of Sheboygan; and two brothers-in-law, Bill (Karen) Schlegel, of Kiel, and Cliff (Gail) Schlegel, of Sheboygan. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends further survive. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, wife, his daughter, Kelly Dudek, a grandson, Aaron Timm, and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Timm.
A funeral service for Jerry will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan with Rev. Jeremy Hylan officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. Entombment will take place in the Garden Terrace Mausoleum at Lutheran Cemetery.
A heartfelt thank you is extended to the staff at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for the compassion and care that was given to Jerry.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jerry’s name may be directed to St. Paul’s United Church of Christ or the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
