The City of Sheboygan has lost a street, in a sense. The Common Council voted recently to permanently close South 19th Street between Union and Oakland Avenues to both pedestrian and vehicular traffic. That one-block section of street is bordered by mostly undeveloped and parking lots to the west, and by HTT World Stamping on the east. The action by the Common Council means that portion has been vacated and is no longer a city street.
