Sheboygan Police are advising residents to not drop their guard against thefts from vehicles. The SPD took to social media to make that point after they, and other area law enforcement agencies, began handling a rash of reports of those incidents.
They said that extra precautions should be taken to lock vehicles and to take valuables with you when you do. Items especially at risk of theft include money, purses, firearms and prescription medications. Police say such items should never be left unattended in a vehicle for any extended length of time and should either be stored in a safe place within the home or kept on your person instead.
