Drivers heading North of Sheboygan using I-43 today will have to plan for a little extra time, as crews again try once again to remove a semi from the median. That semi went off the road during last weekend’s storm and has remained in place ever since.
The Manitowoc County Sherif’f’s office says they’re going to shut down I-43 Northbound at Highway 42 at 11am. That closure will last until 5pm as crews work to remove that tractor/trailer unit from the median near Mile Marker 136 in Manitowoc County. Drivers will get off the interstat at Highway 42, take “XX” to Cleveland, and then get back on the I-43 there. Lanes should be back open this evening.
