Michael John Klahn, age 67, of Elkhart Lake, WI, passed away unexpectedly on January 10, 2024.
He was born on October 7, 1956 in Plymouth, WI, a son of the late Rola Ann (Gosse) and Clifford Klahn.
Mike attended Elkhart Lake Grade School and graduated from Elkhart Lake High School in 1975.
On September 26, 1992, he married Mary Elmer at the City Park in Plymouth.
Mike worked at the Elkhart Lake Feed Mill, Johnson Bus Company, Harvey Concrete, Ottery
Transportation, and Kemps in Cedarburg. In his retirement he worked for the Town of Rhine Recycling
Center and Plymouth Dirt Track.
Mike‘s favorite thing to do was volunteering for the Elkhart Lake Fire Department and Plymouth Fire
Department. He enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, fishing, socializing at Rhine Field and Stream,
babysitting his grandchildren and grand dogs, and driving around town to keep up on the town events.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; four daughters, Jourdan Klahn (Eduardo Perez), Jenessa Klahn (Grant
Luttinen), Alodia (Art) Cruz, Jessica (Pedro) Cardenas; three grandchildren, Esperanza Cardenas, Evan
Cruz, Edison Cruz; sister, Barbara (David) Martiny; brothers and sisters-in-laws, David (Lynn) Elmer,
Robert Elmer, Sandra (Greg) Hildebrand, Joseph (Kelly) Elmer, Catharine Gorr; mother-in-law, Viola
Elmer; his beloved canine companion, Buddy and his grand dogs, Roscoe, Duke, June, and Charlie.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Lawrence Elmer.
Visitation will be held on January 17 th at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Mike’s name.
