We are saddened and lost as we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother, friend, and protector.
Faye Louise Webb Limberg passed away on December 30, 2023, in the comfort of her home
and surrounded by those who loved her most. As we held her hand and whispered in her ear,
Mom took her last breath.
Faye was born July 14, 1944, in the town of Greenbush to Joseph and Adeline (Stahl) Webb. A
beautiful property on the Mullet River was the place she discovered her love of horses, a love
her father shared with her. Faye spent her 79 years devoted to these beautiful animals. Faye
was passionate about her horses and their care. Faye enjoyed riding in the Kettle Moraine
most. Many hours were spent in the saddle with family and many, many friends. She also
traveled with her horses to horse camp parks throughout Wisconsin and even a few out of
state. A treasured trip of Faye’s was riding mules in the Grand Canyon with her daughter,
Cheryl, and granddaughter, Addy. Her favorite place was in the saddle.
Faye loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. She was a lifelong member of the Plymouth Trail
Riders, a local horse club of which her father was a charter member. Faye enjoyed
snowmobiling and was a charter member of the Greenbush Snowmobile Club. Her other
hobbies included camping, waterskiing, swimming, motorcycling, and cross country and
downhill skiing. She was good with a sewing machine and loved to read.
Faye had a dear group of women who called themselves “The Knitting Club.” They met monthly
to share life experiences and have a slice of homemade dessert together. Not sure how much
knitting was done…
Faye was a lifelong member of the Greenbush (New Hope) United Methodist Church. She was
an active participant in all aspects of church. She lovingly passed that passion on to her
children and grandchildren.
Faye graduated from Plymouth High School in 1962. She worked at General Telephone after
graduation. Later, Faye was employed at Plymouth High School for many years and retired
from there.
In 1964, Faye married Lloyd Limberg at Greenbush United Methodist Church. Shortly after,
they purchased a 40-acre hobby farm in the town of Greenbush, together working the land and
raising beef cattle. Faye was also passionate about helping on the Limberg dairy farm just down
the road. They shared a 20-year marriage and two children. They enjoyed and loved each
other and shared many friends and hobbies.
In 1984, Faye met the love of her life, Cal Stoffregen. They shared 40 years of affection and
friendship. The two lived on a hobby farm in Sheboygan Falls and enjoyed their horses, two
donkeys named Mikey and Louie, a beloved dog Mickey, and a charismatic cat Cheeseball.
Faye’s greatest dedication was to her family. Faye is survived by Cal, daughter Cheryl (Gary)
Mallmann, and son Brian (Leah) Limberg, who all feel her loss and will remember her devotion.
She is further survived by grandchildren Mason (Natalie) Miller, Addy (Nic) Garofalo, and
Keegan, Reese, Bennett, and Jed Limberg. Also survived by step-grandchildren Brad (fiancé
Madison) Mallmann and Travis (See) Mallmann. Faye had the pleasure of enjoying two great-
grandchildren Meredith Faye and Calvin Dominic Garofalo.
Faye is survived by one sister Joan (Webb) Morse and many adored nieces and nephews.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Adeline (Stahl) Webb, her sister and
brother-in-law Marion (Webb) and Merlin Klahn and brother-in-law Sam Morse.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Greenbush (New Hope) United
Methodist Church. Visitation will take place from 2:00 – 5:00 PM with a service at 5:00 PM.
Meal to follow. Burial will be in the Greenbush Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Faye’s name.
The family would like to extend gratitude and thanks to all the medical staff that assisted with
Faye’s care over the years. Thanks to the doctors and staff at the Aurora Sheboygan Clinic and
Medical Center along with all the specialists and nurses that endlessly fought for Faye. Thank
you to the kind team from Sharon S. Richardson who helped care for Faye in her final days.
