Ronald F. Plocar of Howards Grove passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday,
December 20, 2023 at his home. Ronald was born on July 16, 1936, to the late Frank and Emily
Plocar. He was baptized, attended grade school and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church
in Sheboygan. He was a 1954 graduate of Howards Grove High School. He served in the U.S.M.C
from 1954-1956, serving in Japan and Okinawa. On April 12, 1958 he was united in marriage to
Edith Heidenreiter. Together they raised four children.
He was employed for 10 years at the Kohler Company. He then became a UA Local 400 plumber
working for various companies until retirement.
Together him and Edith farmed in Johnsonville for 9 years and then moved back to Howards
Grove on the family farm. Ronald enjoyed hunting, fishing and time spent at their cottage in
northern Wisconsin. He was an active member of the Howards Grove Lions and VFW. In
retirement, they traveled extensively with their 5 th wheel in the United States (including Alaska),
Canada and spending the last several years in Casa Grande, AZ.
Ronald was a fun-loving guy who simply enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be dearly missed.
Ronald is survived by his lovely wife Edith Plocar; children, Lois Plocar, Scott (Linda) Plocar,
Mark (Karen) Plocar and Kris (Larry) Bender; grandchildren, Travis (Alicia) Plocar, Levi (Nicole)
Bender, Nicholas Plocar, Benjamin (Abbey) Plocar, Danielle (Matt) Pahmeier, Jonathan (Aly)
Plocar; great-grandchildren Maverick, Parker, Mattie, Oaklynn, Evan, Annalise, Brynn, Connor,
Leona, Frankie, Mason, Noah, Lincoln, Harrison, Ruby and Beckham and many other relatives
and friends.
Along with his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his brother, John (Margaret) Plocar.
A Funeral Service for Ronald will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at
Trinity Lutheran Church, W2776 WI-32 in Howards Grove, with Pastor Noah Fremer officiating.
Family will greet visitors at church on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. For
those who are not able to attend the service for Ronald, can do so virtually on his obituary page
on the funeral home website.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ronald’s name can be made to either Sharon S. Richardson
Community Hospice or Trinity Lutheran Church.
