Monroe Bechle, age 83 of Sheboygan Falls passed away Saturday December 16,
2023. Monroe was born November 12, 1940, to the late Frank and Elsie
(Schreiber) Bechle. He was united in marriage to Jean Noel on June 1, 1963, in
Sheboygan. Monroe was a 1958 graduate of Kiel High School and then furthering
his education at Lakeshore Technical College where he earned his associate degree
in arts and accounting in 1982, and then graduated from Lakeland College where
he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1999. He was employed at Vollrath
Company for 36 years, retiring in 2000. He served as treasurer for the union while
employed at Vollrath. Monroe loved music, playing the accordion and wintering in
Florida following retirement. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife Jean, two sons Timothy (Shelly) Bechle of Oshkosh,
Todd (Tobey) Bechle of Charleston, SC, son-in-law Matthew Nyhuis of Kohler,
grandchildren Martin (Julia) Nyhuis, Raquel (Chris) Haen, John Bechle, Tyler
Bechle, Prescott (Brenna) Bechle and Jasmine Bechle and fiancé Austin Kultgen,
six great-grandchildren, a brother James Bechle of Manitowoc as well as brothers-
in-law and sisters-in-law.
Monroe was preceded in death by his daughter Julie Nyhuis, parents and an uncle
Raymond Bechle.
Family and friends may gather at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12 th
Street, Sheboygan on Friday December 22, 2023, from 9 a.m. until the time of
service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor David Van Dixhorn will officiate. Entombment will
follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Sheboygan County Cancer
Care Fund, 1621 N. Taylor Dr. #100, Sheboygan, WI 53081.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Mark Bettag and his
oncology nursing staff, as well as Pine Haven and the 5 th floor ICU staff at St.
Nicholas Hospital.
