(Editors Note – the article contained several errors in its initial form. First, the item is up for introduction only tonight, and no action will be taken. Second, the resolution being presented doesn’t approve the changeover of the FBO. That was already done earlier this year, and the resolution tonight is to approve the name of the FBO as “Lake Breeze Aviation” We regret the error, and the article has been corrected)
A change to the name of the Fixed Base Operator, or FBO, at the Sheboygan County Memorial Airport will be introduced to the County Board tonight. The changeover from Burrows Aviation as FBO was begun when the County Board approved a letter of intent to purchase Burrow’s assets this past July. In September the Transportation Committee approved a definitive agreement to close on those assets on January 31, 2024. Tonight’s resolution presents the new name of the FBO as Lake Breeze Aviation. No action will be taken during tonight’s meeting.
A Fixed Base Operator provides such services as fueling, hangaring, tie-down and parking, aircraft maintenance and similar duties.
