Twilite Schroeder, age 91, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023, at Pine Haven Christian
Community. She was born in Howards Grove on July 26, 1932, to the late George and Louise
(Berendt) Pippert.
She graduated from Howards Grove High School in 1950. On October 21, 1950, Twilite married
Gerald Schwinn in Spring Valley. She later married Frederick Schroeder on September 3, 1977.
He preceded her in death on June 1, 2001. Twilite was a member of St. Peters UCC in Kiel,
where she taught Summer Bible School and sang in the choir for many years. She was a nurses
assistant at Memorial Hospital for 13 years and then worked at Bemis for over 18 years. After
retirement, Twilite worked at Art Unlimited for a few years.
She loved gardening and watching the birds and also enjoyed cooking and baking. Watching the
Green Bay Packers was also a favorite. Above all, spending time and making memories with her
family was something Twilite loved to do. She will be missed by so many.
Twilite is survived by her children, Keith (Drema) Schwinn, Neil (Sharon) Schwinn, Jeffrey
(Kathleen) Schwinn, Ramona (Larry) Ramey, Suzanne Majerus, Jeanne (Gary) Albrecht, Diane
(Frank) Welcher, Ronald Schroeder, and Robert (Darlene) Schroeder; daughter-in-law, Missy
Schroeder; 32 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; 19 great great-grandchildren; a sister-in-
law, Faye Pippert; nieces, nephews, other friends and family further survive.
Along with her parents and husband, Twilite was preceded in death by a son, Frederick
Schroeder; a granddaughter, Julie Bayens and siblings, Ray (Delores) Pippert, Glen Pippert,
Hazel Thompson, Ralph (Terri) Pippert, Dawn (Burton) Kissinger, and Pierre (M’lisse) Pippert.
A Memorial Service for Twilite will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at St.
Peter’s UCC, 424 Fremont St., in Kiel with Pastor Nicole Herda officiating. Family will greet
visitors on Saturday, at church, from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
The family would like to thank the staff of Faith Home at Pine Haven Christian Community and
Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for the excellent care given to Twilite.
