Raymond A. Cyras, 92, of Sheboygan passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Aurora Medical
Center, Sheboygan.
He was born in Lithuania on July 30, 1931, to the late August and Matilda Cryas. On December 29, 1956,
Raymond united in marriage to Erika Then at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sheboygan.
Raymond was a U.S. Army veteran. After the military he worked at various furniture companies
eventually retiring from Nemschoff. Raymond was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He enjoyed gardening, wood working, fish boils and walking. But most importantly he enjoyed time spent
with his family.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife Erika Cyras; children Michael (Deborah) Cyras and Susan
(David) Steinhardt; four grandchildren Jennifer (Garret) Wachowski, Sarah (Trevor) Ehlert, Craig Cyras
and Nathan Cyras; one great-grandchild Logan Ehlert; one sister Irene Neuhaus; one brother Helmut (Yu
Hwa) Cyras; and many other relatives and friends.
Along with his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his brother Rudolf (Tammy) Cyras and
brother-in-law Arnold Neuhaus.
A Memorial Service for Raymond will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Ballhorn
Chapels Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N 8th St, Sheboygan, WI 53081, with Pastor John Berg
officiating. Family will greet visitors on Thursday from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
The family would like to thank the staff at both Aurora Medical Center and Aurora at Home Hospice for
the excellent care given to Raymond.
