Lillian Annie Lorfeld, 93, of Sheboygan, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Aurora Medical
Center in Grafton. Lillian was born June 16, 1930, in Cleveland, to the late Alfred and Helle (Wehrmann)
Lutze. On November 20, 1948, she married Glenn Allen Lorfeld, at St. John St. Peter Lutheran Church in
Cleveland.
Lillian was employed by Piggly Wiggly for over 25 years. In her retirement, she volunteered at Bethesda
Thrift Store, Memorial Medical Center, and Stephanie Weil Center. Lillian loved to embroider, and
would create beautiful clothing, Christmas ornaments, dish towels, easter eggs, and paper baskets. She
had a remarkable talent for baking. Her son fondly remembers learning to make her legendary
pancakes at an early age. Her daughter still uses her special recipes for Christmas cut-out cookies. She
also made donuts, and countless other recipes that her family will continue to cherish in her memory.
Glenn and Lil always had animals throughout their marriage, but Lil had a special place for chihuahua’s
and cats.
Lillian is survived by one son, Randal (Julie) Lorfeld; one daughter, Lisa (Phil) Cosson; eleven
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Glenn, one daughter, Debora
Richards, one grandchild, Jeremiah, two brothers Emil and Ray, and many brothers and sisters-in-law.
