Carol J. Felten, age 92, of Sheboygan passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Sharon S.
Richardson Community Hospice.
She was born in Eau Claire on July 31, 1931, to the late Fred and Grace (Bain) Coates. She graduated
from Sheboygan Falls High School. On January 24, 1953, Carol was united in marriage to James Felten.
Carol was a member of First Reformed Church in Sheboygan Falls. She was employed for many years at
Lake to Lake Dairy in data entry.
Carol enjoyed riding past Lake Michigan, listening to music, watching Lawrence Welk and various game
shows. Spending time with her family meant the most to her and she will be deeply missed.
Carol is survived by her children, James (Joni) Felten, Jay Felten, Jill (Mark) Abraham and Jeffrey Felten;
grandchildren, Heidi, Kelly, Anna, Elizabeth, Sean, Caitlin, Rebecca, Cory and Jeff Jr.; twelve great-
grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty DeRuyter and special friend, Frank Ohm;
nieces, nephews, other family and friends further survive.
Along with her parents, Carol was preceded in death by James Felten; sisters, Mae Ann Hopeman,
Donna Alexander and Laurel Schmidbauer.
A Memorial Service for Carol will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, December 4, 2023, at First Reformed
Church, 527 Giddings Ave. in Sheboygan Falls, with Pastor Brad Veenendaal officiating. Family will greet
visitors on Monday from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Carol’s name.
The family would like to thank the staff at both St. Nicholas Hospital and Sharon S. Richardson
Community Hospice for the excellent care given to Carol.
