
Betty L. Babler, age 65, of Cascade, WI, passed away Friday morning (November 24, 2023) at Froedtert
Hospital in Milwaukee.
She was born on September 25, 1958, in Fond du Lac, WI, a daughter of the late Leo and Lucille
(Chapman) Sina. Betty graduated from Laconia High School in Rosendale in 1976.
On August 27, 1983, she married Keith Babler. The couple has resided in Cascade since their marriage.
Betty was owner/operator of the Cascade Cheese Company and was still involved in the business
until her passing.
She enjoyed keeping busy with gardening, yardwork, craft fairs, going to Badger games, bowling (she
bowled in many of the area leagues), volunteering many hours and helping with all kinds of fundraisers
for the Cascade Volunteer Fire Department. She also helped working the Voting Polls during elections
and loved the company of her many feline companions that she raised.
Betty’s biggest enjoyment was going on vacation with her family to the Wisconsin Dells and spending as
much time as she could with her loving grandchildren, which were the loves of her life.
Betty is survived by: Her husband of 40 years, Keith; Son, Justin (Heather) Babler of Plymouth; Two
grandchildren: Brody and Isla Babler; Two brothers: Chuck (Julie) Sina of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Gary (Joy)
Sina of Fond du Lac; Two sisters: Bernice Sina of Campbellsport and Patricia (Doug) Koepke of Eau Claire;
Sisters-in-law: Bonnie (Donnie) Friedrich of Blanchardville, WI, Beth (Randy) Tetzlaff of Lewisville,TX,
Kathy (Paul) Gibson of Doylestown, PA, Kris (Tim) Young of Lanark, IL, and Kim O’Donnell of Fitchburg,
WI; Brothers-in-law: Albert Babler Jr. of Plymouth and Tom (Diane) Lechner of Fond du Lac; As well as
nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Leo and Lucille Sina; Parents-in-law, Albert and Lois Babler;
Her son, Wesley Babler; Brother, Jim Sina; Sister, Ann Lechner; and Brothers-in-law: Brian and Brent
Babler.
Following Betty’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of her Life will be held in the
Spring of 2024.
A memorial fund is being established in Betty’s name.
