Donald H. Kimpel, 75, of Sheboygan, passed away on November 8, 2023, surrounded by his
family. He was born on September 27, 1948, to the late Harvey and Margaret (Stiel) Kimpel.
Donny was born and raised in Fond du Lac and was a graduate of Goodrich High School. After
his high school graduation, he proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1967-1971.
Donny had an immense love of music and at any given time could be found playing with one of
the local bands on the weekend. He was known around town as “Little E” and never missed an
opportunity to sing an Elvis tune, draped in one of his flashy rhinestone covered capes. In his
spare time, he also loved the challenge of a great cribbage match. When he wasn’t strumming a
tune on his guitar, you could find him at the local bowling alley or out and about on the links
playing a round or two of golf. He also loved watching and rooting for his favorite local sports
teams, The Brewers and The Packers.
Donny is survived by his beloved wife Linda Kimpel; four children Michelle (Brent) Perronne,
Tamara Hass, John (Tanya) Weigel and Harriett (Steve) Racicot; fourteen grandchildren Devin,
Erik (Tina), Olivia (fiancé Michael), Sophia, Frankie, Cody, Logan, Ruby, Trisha, Beau, Kara
(Clark), Hannah, Joel and Jeanette; two great-grandchildren and one great-grandson on the way;
two brothers David (Sharie) Kimpel and Gary (Diana) Kimpel; son-in-law Brian Oestreich;
sisters-in-law Ruby Klokow “Sassy Sissy”, Charlene (Charles) Capetillo and Judy Post; brother-
in-law Dale Maxey; brother-in-law Jack Maxey (Karen), special friends Vicki (Gary) Sixel,
Rosie (Bob) Loehr. He is also survived my numerous special friends, and relatives.
Donny is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Carol Oestreich; brothers Richard Kimpel,
Phillip Kimpel, Gene (Marj) Stiel, son-in-law Frank Hass, brother-in-law Larry Maxey (Nancy),
brother-in-law Wayne (Rose), and brother-in-law Richard (Corrine).
