Norma J. Wolfington, age 85, formerly of Fenton, Michigan, died on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at her son’s home in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. She was born in Wyoming on February 26, 1938, to the late John and Agnes Papke Mutz.
She attended Lincoln High School in Nebraska, graduating in 1956. On May 3, 1958, she was united in marriage to Keith Wolfington in Nebraska. Keith preceded her in death in March of 1993.
She and her husband moved to Fenton, Michigan in 1966. Norma was the office manager for Dr. Harris in Flushing, Michigan. She was a member of the Torrey Baptist Church in Fenton and later a member of Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church in Fenton.
Survivors include her two children, Steven (Sheila) Wolfington, of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and Kathryn (Darren) Coggins, of Grand Blanc, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Keith, Adam, Travis, Meara, Alexander, Grace, and Tessa; two step-grandchildren, Chad, and Samantha; 12 great-grandchildren, Moriah, Laila, Aiden, Abrianna, Courtney, Tony, Garrett, Haley, Elaina, Harry, Nicole and Westen; and a nephew, Bradley Mutz. Many other relatives and friends further survive. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, James Wolfington, and her three brothers.
A funeral service for Norma will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan, WI. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. The burial will take place on Monday, October 16, at 2:30 p.m., at Perry Mount Cemetery in Pontiac Michigan.
