MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Arizona Diamondbacks recovered from a rough start and beat the Milwaukee Brewers 6-3 in Game One of the NL Wild Card round at American Family Field on Tuesday night.
Carlos Santana laced an RBI single in the first inning for Milwaukee while Tyrone Taylor blasted a two-run homer in the second. However, the Arizona bullpen shut out the Brew Crew over the final seven innings while Corbin Carroll and Ketel Marte each homered in the third inning to tie the game.
Gabriel Moreno crushed a solo shot in the following inning, which proved to be the game winning run.
Corbin Burnes suffered the loss for Milwaukee after giving up four runs on five hits over four innings.
The Diamondbacks have a chance to win the series and advance to the divisional round of the playoffs Wednesday night when the two teams will battle in game two of the series.
