Arrest Made in Town of Grafton Homicide

An arrest has been made in an Ozaukee County murder that occurred earlier this year.  The body of 49-year-old Laeng Sanavongsay of Texas was found the morning of Saturday, March 4th in a white 4-door sedan with Michigan registration that was found in a ditch on Highway “C” in the Town of Grafton.  That car had evidence of a brief fire that extinguished itself, and the Milwaukee County medical examiner determined that Sanavongsay died of a gunshot wound.

34-year-old Miguel Aponte of New Berlin has now been arrested and formally charged with 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, Use of a Dangerous Weapon, Party to a Crime – Attempting to Disfigure a Corpse, Party to a Crime – False Imprisonment, and Party to a Crime – Bail Jumping.
