ST. LOUIS, MO (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers held the St. Louis Cardinals to just six hits during a 6-0 win at Busch Stadium on Thursday afternoon.
Wade Miley earned his ninth win after striking out seven and giving up just three hits in six scoreless innings. Blake Perkins and Victor Caratini both went deep in the victory.
The Brewers now have an eight-game lead in the NL Central, and their magic number is two.
Miles Mikolas was charged with his 13th loss after surrendering five earned runs and one unearned run on nine hits in five frames.
The Brewers took three of four in the series.
The Crew now heads to Miami for a three game weekend series against the Marlins.
Friday night’s game will be heard on 106.5 The Buzz due to the fact WHBL will be carrying the Wisconsin Badger/Purdue game.
