ST. LOUIS, MO (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers earned a 7-3 victory over the Cardinals in St. Louis on Tuesday night.
Willy Adames, Josh Donaldson, Tyrone Taylor and Sal Frelick each hit consecutive doubles as part of a four-run fourth inning. Seven members of the Brew Crew’s starting lineup recorded one RBI while William Contreras blasted a solo homer in the third inning.
Colin Rea earned the win after giving up one run while striking out two batters over four-and-two-thirds innings of relief as the Brewers improved to 85-66.
Richie Palacios slugged a solo shot for St. Louis, which fell to 67-84. The Cards are last in the division and have been eliminated from playoff contention.
Game three of the four game series takes place Wednesday night with pregame coverage beginning at 6:10 on WHBL.
