A person entered the waters of Lake Michigan, but didn’t resurface and couldn’t be revived on Monday afternoon.
Sheboygan County Emergency Dispatch got the 911 call at 3:08 p.m. reporting that the 62-year-old Sheboygan Falls man entered the waters off the boat that’s believed was not underway at the time when the incident occurred. A 57-year-old man he was boating with located the victim, pulled him to shore and began lifesaving measures, but could not revive him.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, the Wisconsin DNR, US Coast Guard, Fire Departments from Haven, Howards Grove and the Town of Sheboygan, as well as Howards Grove 1st Responders and Orange Cross ambulance responded.
The accident remains under investigation and names won’t be released until Tuesday afternoon.
