Debra Faye Kelm, age 68, of Sheboygan, left this world on Thursday, August 24, 2023, to join the Heavenly Chorus, she passed away peacefully at her home. Debra was born in Merrill, WI on March 8, 1955, the daughter of Ervin and Elvira Brunow Saeger.
She attended Wausau High School and graduated in 1973. On June 8, 1985, she was united in marriage to Jeff Kelm at Faith Lutheran Church in Merrill. Debra was a homemaker and was known as the flower lady. She sold many flowers to people that came from her yard.
Debra was a current member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. She took four mission trips to Latvia with the LWML. Debra love to garden and sing. She sang with the Milwaukee Choristers, and sang at Carenige Hall, and morning Mass at St. Peter Cathedral in Rome.
Survivors include her husband, Jeff Kelm, of Sheboygan; mother, Elvira Saeger, of Wausau; two sons, Curtis (Kristin) Lupton, of Alexandria, VA, and Andrew Kelm, of Marshall, WI; her two grandsons, Bennett and Jackson Lupton; two sisters, Marsha (Tom) Peterson, of Minnesota, and Pam (Steve) Seubert, of Marathon, WI; and her two brothers, Lon (Marg) Saeger, of Minnesota, and Todd Saeger, of Colorado. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Debra was preceded in death by her father, Ervin Saeger.
A memorial service for Debra will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 824 Wisconsin Ave., Sheboygan with Pastor Timothy Mech, and Pastor John Berg officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established, donations may be made out to the “Debra Kelm Church Musician Scholarship Fund”.
