Nancy Ann Timler, age 89, of Sheboygan, died on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. She was born in Sheboygan on October 31, 1933, to the late Frank and Rose (Pausha) Tomazin.
She attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1952. On June 14, 1958, she was united in marriage to Marvin (Babe) F. Timler at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Marvin preceded her in death on July 31, 2001.
Nancy was a current member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sheboygan.
Nancy worked in retail her whole life, first at Woolworth’s and then at H.C. Prange Company (later Younkers) for many years in the men’s clothing department. She was very loyal to Prange’s buying all her clothing, household items, and Christmas presents at the store with her treasured employee discount.
When she was not working, Nancy enjoyed traveling, visiting casinos, and dining out with her husband. As a widow, she focused her time on her children. She often spent weekends running errands and going on Sunday afternoon drives with her youngest son, Joe. Sometimes they would enjoy bonfires in his backyard. She continued traveling and visiting casinos with her daughter Teresa. Her happiest moments were when she was surrounded by all of her children and her grandchild and she especially looked forward to family gatherings with them and her nieces and nephew at holidays and Joe’s annual July 4th fry-out. She always lit up when one of her children appeared at her door.
Survivors include her children, Geralyn Timler, of Virginia (Patrick Nicosia); Teresa Timler, of Sheboygan; and Joseph Timler, of Sheboygan; a grandson, Alex (Holly) Timler, of Appleton; her sister-in-law, Mary Ann Timler, of Sheboygan, and many other relatives and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Gregory, her brothers, Louis, and Franklin, and a sister-in-law, Patricia Tomazin, of Sheboygan.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan with Fr. Paul Fliss officiating. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Greendale Cemetery.
The family would like to extend our gratitude to the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their compassionate care, and the kind and hard-working staff at her assisted living facility, Countryside Manor, where she lived since April.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Nancy’s name to the Sharon S. Richardson center. Online condolences may be expressed at www.reinboldfh.com.
