(WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers earned a critical series sweep against the Texas Rangers following a 6-2 victory in the finale from Arlington on Sunday afternoon.
Adrian Houser got the win after surrendering one run on six hits while striking out seven batters over five innings. Devin Williams notched his 30th save of the season after recording one out in the ninth.
Tyrone Taylor drove in a pair of runs on an eighth-inning triple while Christian Yelich also knocked in a run.
Milwaukee improved to 68-57 and lead the NL Central by three games over the Cubs.
The Brewers have Monday off, then will host the Minnesota Twins for a two-game series at American Family Field.
