Drought continues to grip Wisconsin, but if there’s any good news it’s that while some places got worse, Sheboygan County had very slight improvement. It wasn’t enough, though, to change the overall picture.
Just over 73 percent of Sheboygan County is experiencing Moderate Drought, while the remainder is under a severe drought. And while recent rainfalls have helped keep things growing, it would take a series of more significant, drawn-out rain systems to begin making up for the nearly 2-inch deficit in precipitation recorded so far this year. So lawns and gardens will still need watering, while crops will need that and a prayer for best results.
