MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers won their series against the Rockies in walk-off fashion after a 7-6, extra innings victory in the finale at American Family Field on Wednesday afternoon.
The Brew Crew trailed by a run in the bottom of the 10th until Mark Canha scorched a ground rule double and drove in the game-tying run. Andruw Monasterio stepped up to the plate and reached base on a throwing error, which scored Canha to end the game.
Bryse Wilson earned the win after giving up an unearned run in one inning of relief. Milwaukee improved to 62-54 and is first in the NL Central with a two and a half game lead on both the Reds and Cubs.
The Brewers have Thursday off, then will embark on a 9-game road trip. The first stop is Chicago, where the Brewers will square off with the White Sox on Friday night.
