Sheboygan Mayor Ryan Sorenson
No action was taken on Mayoral Appointments to two prominent positions during last night’s Sheboygan Common Council meeting.
Mayor Ryan Sorenson had recommended that Diane McGinnis-Casey, currently the Community Development Administrator for the City of LaCrosse, be confirmed as the Director of Planning and Development. She would fill the seat vacated by Chad Pelishek after he resigned his position effective May 12th following months of dispute within City Hall.
Also laid over was the proposed appointment of Attorney Samuel Melei to the post of Municipal Court Judge, filling the seat vacated when Natasha Torry won her election to Circuit Court Judge in April.
Both appointments were laid over for action at a later date.
