There is some cleaning-up to do in Manitowoc County and in the Elkhart Lake area after a round of severe thunderstorms accompanied a cold front that’s put much more pleasant air in place.
Storms fueled by that front plowing through the hot, humid air rolled through, and according to law enforcement reports uprooting numerous trees and knocking down some power lines in Elkhart Lake around 6:45 p.m. There are no reports of any serious injuries.
The National Weather Service says it will send investigators to see if the damage was caused by possible tornadoes, or if it came from straight line winds.
