WASHINGTON, DC (WHBL) – The Nationals won their series against the Milwaukee Brewers following a 3-2, walk-off victory in the finale from DC on Wednesday afternoon.
Washington trailed 2-1 in the ninth inning until Alex Call grounded into a fielder’s choice, but Corey Dickerson and Ildemaro Vargas each scored on a throwing error by Milwaukee third baseman Andruw Monasterio.
Tyrone Taylor slugged a solo homer for Milwaukee, which dropped to 58-51.
The Brewers remain in second place, a half-game behind Cincinnati in the NL Central Division.
The Brewers head back to American Family Field, where they’ll kick off a four-game series against Pittsburgh. Game one is Thursday night with pregame coverage on WHBL beginning at 5:40.
