ATLANTA, GA (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers got swept by the Braves following an 8-6 defeat in the series finale from Atlanta on Sunday.
Joel Payamps got the loss in relief after giving up the go ahead, two-run homer to Matt Olson in the eighth inning. Olson finished with two homers on the day for the Braves.
Christian Yelich and newly acquired Carlos Santana slugged back-to-back homers for Milwaukee, which fell to 57-49. The Brew Crew are now second in the NL Central and trail the Reds by half-a-game for first place.
Kirby Yates earned the win for Atlanta with one scoreless inning of relief, while Raisel Iglesias notched his 20th save.
The Brewers continue their road trip Monday night with game one of a three-game series against the Washington Nationals. Pregame coverage on WHBL begins at 5:30.
