The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development says that unemployment in the Sheboygan Area rose a little last month compared to May, but since last year there’s almost no difference.
The Sheboygan Metropolitan Area saw its preliminary June unemployment rate rise seven tenths of a percent since May, up to 3.0% in June. Last year the June rate was 3.1%.
The City of Sheboygan had similar readings of 3.2% for the month, up from 2.4% in May. Last year’s June rate was 3.4%.
Sheboygan County shared the state’s fifth lowest unemployment rate with Monroe and Washington Counties, with a June figure of 3.0%. That compares to 2.3% in May, and 3.1% a year ago.
