MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers got a terrific pitching performance to win their series against the Cincinnati Reds following a 3-0 win at American Family Field on Wednesday afternoon.
Freddy Peralta struck out 13 batters and gave up just four hits over six innings. Elvis Peguero struck out a pair of hitters in a scoreless inning of relief to earn the win.
Tyrone Taylor blasted a two-run homer for the Brew Crew, which improved to 57-46.
Ben Lively got saddled with the loss after surrendering two runs on eight hits over six-plus innings. TJ Friedl got two of Cincinnati’s six hits in the game
Milwaukee now leads the Reds for first place in the division by a game-and-a-half.
The Brewers will now head to Atlanta for a three-game weekend series beginning Friday night.
