Traffic will be slow and delays are expected as traffic control lights have failed at one of Sheboygan’s busiest locations.
The lights that control Taylor Drive access to Meijer, Kohls and other businesses on that lot between Kohler Memorial Drive and Erie Avenue have failed, and it’s likely to be a week before repairs can be completed. The problem was announced by the Sheboygan Department of Public Works late Thursday afternoon.
City of Sheboygan Administrative Coordinator Heather Burke said that the DPW is in the process of securing the equipment needed to repair the lights, but it’s likely that normal traffic won’t be restored until next week Friday. Until then, that intersection will operate as a 4-way stop which will likely cause delays, especially during the busiest morning and afternoon hours.
