Judith A. Olson, 80, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully with her family by her side of natural causes on Thursday, July 20, 2023.
Born June 19, 1943 in Sheboygan, Judith was a daughter of the late William A. and Hazel M. Ernstbunner Richter. She attended Sheboygan area schools and graduated from Central High School. On January 21, 1961, she was united in marriage to Roger P. Gerth in Sheboygan. They had three children, Roger, Richard and Sherry. On November 7, 1992, she married Allan O. Olson in Sheboygan.
Judy worked at Bemis Manufacturing for 38 years before her retirement in 2005. She enjoyed playing slot machines, golf, and traveling.
She is survived by her children, Roger (Noreen) Gerth, Glenbeulah, and Sherry (Jeff) Wilke, Sheboygan Falls; six grandchildren, Ryan (Desiree) Gerth, Katie (Nick) Novak, Alex Gerth, Shelby (Nicholas) Loth, Jeremy Wilke, and Adam (Kaylynn) Wilke; thirteen great grandchildren, Penelope, Bellany and Gracie Gerth, Willa, Luna and Isla Novak, Kenneth Burnette Burczyk, Ethan and Liam Gerth, Faith Loth, Franklin Spencer, Alex Bissonnette and Brody Wilke; her sisters, Kathy Roller and Carol (Tom) Felde, both of Sheboygan; her brother-in-law, Roger Schmidt, Alvin, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents Hazel and William, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Roger P. Gerth; her son, Richard A. Gerth; her parents-in-law, Rosalie and George Gerth; sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris (Kenneth) Myer, and Patricia (Roger) Schmidt; brother and sister-in-law, William (JoAnn) Richter; her sister-in-law, Beverly (Charles) Erickson; step-brother, Andrew Gurk, Jr.; great grandchild, Nolan Gerth; and brothers-in-law, Wilmer Roller and George (Caroline) Gerth.
A memorial services for Judy will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2023 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice and at Terrace Place for all of their loving care and support.
