PHILADELPHIA, PA (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers silenced the Phillies’ bats and won their series with a 4-0 win in the finale from Philadelphia on Thursday afternoon.
Corbin Burnes was electric on the mound and earned the win after surrendering just two hits while striking out 10 batters over eight innings.
Christian Yelich blasted a three-run homer as Milwaukee improved to 54-43.
Taijuan Walker took the loss after surrendering four runs on six hits over six innings while Nick Castellanos and Bryson Stott accounted for the only two hits in the game for the Phillies.
The Brewers welcome the Atlanta Braves to American Family Field for a three-game weekend series. Game one is Friday night with pregame coverage on WHBL beginining at 6:35.
