Protesters plan to make their point directly to City Hall during tonight’s 6 p.m. Common Council meeting.
The protesters, members of a group calling themselves “Take Back Sheboygan County” is making the demonstration after letters calling for an ethics investigation into conduct by Mayor Ryan Sorenson were not allowed to be added to the agenda by Alderman Joe Heidemann. The letters point to Sorenson’s appearance at a Pride event on June 24th where he posed with a group called the “Sisters For Perpetual Indulgence”. That picture was posted on the “VisitSheboygan” facebook page and, according to protesters, captures a violation by Sorenson of the City’s ethics code as the group mocks nuns and the Catholic religion.
