
Edward O. “Ed” Zimmermann, age 84, of Sheboygan Falls, WI, passed away peacefully at his home on
July 3, 2023.
He was born on December 15, 1938, in Plymouth, WI, a son of the late Edwin and Mildred (Jacobs)
Zimmermann.
He attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Grade School and graduated from Plymouth High School in
1957.
Ed served in the United States Army Reserves from 1955-1962.
In 1962, he married Sharon Kvithyll in Two Rivers.
Ed worked at Kohler Company for 43 ½ years. After retirement he worked at Blattner’s Piggly Wiggly in
New Holstein and Blattner’s Piggly Wiggly in Sheboygan Falls.
He enjoyed playing cribbage, going to the casino, traveling, antique shopping, playing sequence with his
best friends Claudia and Al, and going Up North by “Brad’s” house.
Ed was a former member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Elkhart Lake and a current member
of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Sheboygan Falls, where he served as an usher at both Parishes. He
volunteered at Plymouth and Sheboygan Falls Food Pantry.
Survivors include his children, Steve (Shelly) Zimmermann, Mark (Gina) Zimmermann, and Al
Zimmermann; grandchildren, Becky (Dusty) Medved, Brittany (Josh) Quintel, Hannah, Hope, Brad and
Brett Zimmermann; great-grandchildren, Blake and Owen Medved, Noah and Gabriel Quintel; brother,
Tom (Susie) Zimmermann; sister-in-law, Kris Peterson; special niece, Amanda Zipperer; and special
great-niece, Savannah Peterson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Arlene (William) Renk, Laura (Arwin) Stricker; and
brother, Art (Madeline) Zimmermann.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday (July 11, 2023) at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Sheboygan Falls
from 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM; with a Mass to follow at 4:00 PM. Father Jonathon Schmeckel will officiate.
Inurnment will be at St. Thomas Aquinas North Cemetery in the Town of Rhine.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Ed’s name for Sharon S. Richardson Hospice
and Camo Quilt Project.
