MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Brewers’ three-game winning streak is over after they fell to the Chicago Cubs 7-6 in 11 innings at American Family Field on Tuesday.
The Crew forced extras by scoring two runs in the eighth and two more in the ninth.
Christian Yelich drove in a run and scored for the Brewers. Overall, five separate batters drove in a run for Milwaukee in the losing effort. Clayton Andrews took the loss for the Brewers, who are now a game behind Cincinnati for the NL Central lead.
For the Cubs, Dansby Swanson hit his 10th home run and Miguel Amaya drove-in two runs to help Chicago snap a three-game losing skid. Daniel Palencia earned his first career win after throwing two scoreless frames to help the Cubs improve to 39-45.
