Those wondering if there’ll ever be a fast way home from Sheboygan’s lakefront fireworks display need wonder no more – take a bike!
The Sheboygan Police Department and its Police Cadet Post are hosting a free bike corral at Deland Park next to the Police Command Post near the war memorial as well as on South Pier Drive. The corral will be available from 1 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.
One cautionary note about that 10 p.m. closing; the social media announcement by the SPD did say that operations will last “until after the fireworks are over”, so there may – or may not be – some flex time. Regardless, any bikes still there after closing will be impounded.
