City of Sheboygan Department of Public Works
As is usual when a holiday falls on what would normally be a work day, the Sheboygan Department of Public Works is adjusting the schedule of its curbside collection of garbage and recycling during the week of Independence Day, which falls on a Tuesday this year.
The collection on Monday, July 3rd is unaffected, however with no collection on Tuesday, each following day’s collection will be delayed until the next weekday. Therefore, Tuesday’s collection will take place on Wednesday, July 5th, Wednesday’s will be on Thursday, and so forth until Friday’s garbage and recycling is collected on Saturday, July 8th.
The City’s Recycling Center on New Jersey Avenue will be closed on Tuesday, July 4th, but will resume the usual 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. weekday hours on Wednesday. Saturday’s schedule will observe weekend hours of 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
