FLUSHING, NY (WHBL)) – The Milwaukee Brewers rallied after an early deficit, beating the New York Mets 3-2 on Thursday night and winning the four game series in the process.
Milwaukee trailed 2-0 heading into the sixth inning until Victor Caratini crushed a two-run homer to tie the game. Brian Anderson scored the go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly the following inning as the Brew Crew took a 3-2 lead.
Devin Williams escaped a bases-loaded jam in the ninth and secured his 16th save of the season to complete the comeback.
The Brewers took three-of-four games and are tied for first in the NL Central with a 43-38 record.
Brandon Nimmo and Brett Baty each slugged a solo shot for New York, which fell to 36-45.
The Brewers continue their road trip with a three-game weekend series in Pittsburgh. Game one is Friday night with pregame coverage on WHBL beginning at 5:30.
