An early morning fire destroyed a barn in the Town of Mitchell on Thursday morning.
Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Anthony Blodgett says the 9-1-1 call came in at 5:21 a.m., and responders found the barn at W7065 Silver Spring Lane, about four miles southwest of Plymouth, fully engulfed in flames and spreading to other buildings. The Greenbush Fire Department was quickly joined by over a dozen other units to fight the blaze.
No animals were inside the barn, and all residents were accounted for and uninjured. The cause of the fire is the subject of an ongoing investigation.
