A 19 year old Sheboygan man was arrested after leading a Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Deputy on a high speed chase last night.
The Sheriff’s Office says a deputy was running radar along Highway 57 near Waldo shortly after 9pm when he saw a vehicle that was speeding. The deputy tried to perform a traffic stop, but the driver of the car fled down Highway 28 at speeds that exceeded 130 miles per hour. That vehicle crashed into a farm field at State Highway 28 and County Highway “M”. The accident caused only minor injuries to the driver and passengers.
The driver was cited for eluding an officer, recklessly endangering safety, speeding, failure to maintain control of a vehicle, and for underage drinking. His passengers were also ticketed for under-age drinking.
